The Cambridge Coop is excited to host a benefit dinner for the Youth Movement of Cuidad Sandino, in Nicaragua with special guest Oscar Mayorga!
Join us for a night of good food, music, and conversation with Oscar about grassroots organizing with youth and the struggle for social justice in Nicaragua. Campaigns and programs in the community include issues of nonviolence, gender equity, youth empowerment, spirituality, and environmental sustainability.
Oscar leads a popular theater group that focuses on problems affecting the lives of young people like HIV and violence against women, teaches music, leads gender workshops for young men, and facilitates spirituality and leadership” workshops, among other programs.
